Estelle Viljoen was first introduced to property law in 2005 when starting as a junior conveyancing typist at the legal firm Friedland Hart and Partners. It was early days, but the seed was planted! She knew that she had found her passion in life – Conveyancing!

To pursue this career choice a lot still had to happen…

“I commenced my studies by enrolling for the LLB Degree with the University of South Africa in 2005 whilst still employed at Friedland Hart and Partners. During 2009 I had to relocate to the South Coast where I found employment with a property valuer for the period of February 2009 to April 2011 where I had to work closely with conveyancers and homeowners in creating the link between them and the valuer for compliance with their property valuation needs. I moved back to Pretoria in April 2010 and started serving my Articles of Clerkship in July 2010 at the legal firm Van Heerden’s Incorporated. I attended Law School at the University of Pretoria and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in June 2013 and stayed on at the aforesaid firm after completion of my Articles of Clerkship.

While at Van Heerden’s Incorporated I was actively working as a junior legal practitioner in the commercial law field, attending to both High Court and Magistrate’s Court matters. I was also assisting in the conveyancing department, attending to local property transfers, estate transfers, and commercial bonds (covering and notarial bond instructions as well as bond cancellations received from the firm’s panel bank, Nedbank).
